Quick Start Guide: Building Your First Survey

Ready to create your first survey? This quick-start guide will walk you through the entire process, from building to sharing, so you can start gathering insights in no time.

Step 1: Access the Survey Builder Blueprint

Log into your Survia account and head to the Blueprint tab in your dashboard. Click the Create Survey button to get started.

Step 2: Name Your Survey

Give your survey a clear, descriptive name. This makes it easier to manage multiple surveys later. Don’t worry—you can always rename it if needed. Click Create once you have given your survey a name.

Step 3: Add Questions

Use the drag-and-drop builder to add questions to your survey. Survia offers a variety of question types to choose from:

  • Multiple Choice
  • Text Input
  • Rating Scales
  • Dropdowns

Simply pick the question type you want and drag it onto the survey canvas, then customize it to fit your needs.



Using AI Assistance

Need help coming up with questions? Click the Create with AI button to generate tailored question ideas based on your survey’s purpose.

Step 4: Apply Conditional Logic

Take your survey to the next level with conditional questions. These allow you to create dynamic paths based on respondents’ answers. For example, if a user selects “yes,” you can show follow-up questions related to their response.

Step 5: Create Your Survey Widget

Once your blueprint is ready, go to the Widgets tab in Survia. Create a new widget and link it to the blueprint source you just created. This step allows you to use the survey in different contexts, such as embedding it on your website or sharing it directly.

Step 6: Customize Your Survey’s Design

Make your survey visually appealing by personalizing its design:

  • Choose a color scheme that matches your brand.
  • Add your logo for professional branding.
  • Adjust the font and layout to suit your audience.

Step 7: Share Your Survey

You have multiple options to distribute your survey:

  • Shareable Link: Copy the unique link and share it via email or social media.
  • QR Code: Download a QR code for offline sharing.
  • Embed Code: Add the survey directly to your website.
